Yesterday when I went to collect my mail it was a usual mailbox full of sale flyers but it also included my package I had been waiting for from ABO Apparel, LLC. Yes it was my package from Angela Wolf my DVD of Make Your Own Jeans. I was waiting on the release of her jeans patterns and thought I would use that time to view her DVD and make notes. I was so delighted I had to open my package immediately. To my surprize the package also included a pattern for her Angel Boot cut Jeans and a note from Angela. I won a FREE pattern! Now that fabulous!
Have seen your show just a few times. Have taken up sewing again to fill time in evenings. Ran across magazine I wanted just look at dress on front. Low and behold there you were.. Just wanted to let you know the spread about you in the new issue of SEWSTYLISH for spring is great! There isnt anything I havent sewn over the last decade.
Thanks Debbie, I was so thrilled to see the article. When being interviewed you never know what comes out and I loved what they put together 🙂 Happy Sewing!
Angela,
You are a fabulous teacher. I really enjoy your tips and advice on sewing. One week you demonstrated a zipper repair tool. Could you tell me where I could find one?
Would love to see shows on altering ready made. Take in shirt sides, shorten shoulder seams, take in or let out pants, skirts. Any alterations. Looking for good book or TV show on ready made alterations. Tks
Angela, first I want to thank you for all your help. On your program on adjusting pant patterns, you used a bendable tape to get the right fit in the crotch area, where can I get one?
Hi Pat,
Call Janie’s sewing corner 216-351-1900 She has a longer one than I showed, it awesome! Tell her I sent you and she will know which one you want.
Enjoy shows on alterations. Very few books on alterations on ready mad clothes, Watched show on create tv in VA Beach Va, but seems like it was taken off air. really miss the show hope it returns.
Thanks Linda, I know they change viewing times occasionally, hope you get it back too! You can also watch older episodes on http://www.itsseweasytv.com/
Hi. I watch “IT SO EASY and I love it when you are on the show. The way you explain how to sew and make a garment to look like it is not home made.really intrigues me. The little black dress your are showing on the show is so cute I wish I could make one and wear it. I am 74 and pass that time but not to old not to be able to learn new tricks. That is what I love about you being on the show. thanks again Jan
Hi Jan,
Thanks for the kind comments 🙂 After doing that show, I am addicted to wearing dresses! Unfortunately I am in Michigan and its below zero this week – I guess the dresses have to wait until spring.
Thanks for watching the show – Happy New Year!
Angela
Hi Angela,
You have inspired me to get the old sewing machine out! I have never had any luck in selecting a pattern and adjusting it to fit me. As a result, I never wear anything that I have sewn. Do you have any DVD’s or tutorials devoted to this topic?
I love your segments on It’s Sew Easy. It’s a wonderful show.

Just wanted to thank you for your free class on hemming t shirts with a double needle. Purchased a serger and thought I had found the answer to my t shirt hemming problems since I am short and every shirt is way too long. Still love the serger, but love your double needle answer to my prayers. Thank you !! Louise
Hello Angela. How do you like your coffee? I have coffee with you and my note pad every Sat. morning and thought perhaps you’d like cream or sugar or other flavoring. You are a wonderful teacher and I admire your can-do attitude. Some things I would be apprehensive to try, yet you make techniques so clear. Not comparing myself to you at all but feeling encouraged by you. I like it. Thank you! ( do you want to hear that its warmer here in Alaska than where you are? Nah. Don’t want to hear it!)
Just discovered It’s So Easy and LOVE your episodes best….especially the FUR episode. Where can I get that black and purple striped fur???? LOVED it!
Thanks,
Linda Bustin
I loved the Jacket class I attended last year the beginning of September!!! But I am disappointed that I haven’t received the pattern directions after 6 months. My fabric is all ready to go and it is perfect sewing weather.
can you tell me what kind of fabric is being used on the capris on the pattern new look 0904, I would love to find the exact same fabric on the blouse and pants.
Hi Angela, please disregard the above link, it has changed. I still do not know what the fabric is but am trying out a fabric to see how it works on this pattern. thank you. I love your classes, I am on my 4th pair of jeans. love them
Hi Angela, I love your section of the show especially the little black dress section! Are all of the dresses from the same pattern? Is that your dress pattern or another? Thanks so much!
Kelly 🙂
Angela, I need the Evelyn Dress and Jacket pattern in a Woman’s size. I ordered the Misses size, but need the larger size. At one time the selection did include both sizes. Are you able to get me a larger size? Margaret
Hi Margaret,
Thanks for sewing my pattern – The women’s size will be out, but I was not satisfied with the fit. I will post on the blog and in the newsletter when it’s ready. Are you signed up for that? The goal is September, but hope to have it sooner.
I had scoliosis as I grew up and it left a hump on the right side of my back. I don’t have any pictures, don’t even know how to put them on the computer to send them. My comprehension is very slow and I’m having trouble knowing how to adjust patterns for the problem.
Angela, I just found your site and have craftsty classes with you. I would like to know if there is a book website etc. that you can recommend I am a newbie at alterations and would like to learn more about bridal alterations for example how to do a bustle is there a book or website that you can recommend. I looked for books on amazon but didn’t have any luck. The ones I saw were out dated. Please advise.
I just saw your demonstration on piecing fabrics to create a new fabric on episode 708 It’s Sew Easy. As a quilter, one technique I use that does the same thing is is called Foundation Paper Piecing where fabric pieces are sewn directly onto the paper design. This method is much quicker and, there is no confusion about how to orient fabric pieces since the paper with fabric sewn to it remains intact through the whole process and there is no shrinkage due to fabric taken up by seams. There are a number of internet tutorials on the technique. Here is one by Connecting Threads that is very good:
